Bart Godett is a civil engineer whose interest in birds began 40 years ago after taking an adult education birding class with Owens Lake advocate Michael Prather. Since then, birding has remained a meaningful part of his life—even if he’s found that birding while motorcycling is best avoided. Bart has worked alongside co-founder of the Eastern Sierra Audubon Society (now Eastern Sierra Bird Alliance), has supported the Bishop Christmas Bird Count, and is a long-time Board member of the ESBA. In his free time, he enjoys teaching ceramics and rock hunting.
