Amanda, originally from the suburbs of Chicago, was introduced to the Eastern Sierra in 2006 when she met her now husband who grew up in Independence. She was astounded with the beauty that is the Owens Valley. She is an environmental consultant who has lived in the Eastern Sierra for 5 years. Amanda considers herself a naturalist; some days she enjoys birding and others you can find her looking for reptiles on the valley floor. Additionally, she has led the ESBA COSA walks every second Saturday since becoming a member of ESBA.
