6:30 - 7 pmEastern Sierra Audubon Society & California Native Plant Society Announcements7 - 8 pmGreat Basin Pinon Pine PresentationPresented by: Alexandra (Ali) UrzaJoin us for a presentation on Great Basin pinyon pine and using ecology to design post-fire restoration approaches. Alexandra (Ali) Urza is a Research Ecologist with the US Forest Service, Rocky Mountain Research Station, based in Reno, NV. She is a plant ecologist whose research focuses on the ecology of woodland and shrubland ecosystems of the western US. Her research uses observational, experimental, and modeling approaches to study plant community responses to fire, climate change, invasive species, and management treatments.
