Kids of All Ages Beginner Bird Walk

© F. English. Yellow-rumped warbler.

Field trips are back! For the the first Saturday in August, we are inviting all birders, new and old, to join us in Mammoth!

Meet at 8am on August 1st at Shady Rest Park in Mammoth Lakes for a beginner bird walk for ‘kids of all ages’ (adults welcome!). Binoculars and identification books will be available for those who don't have their own. Maggie and Jan will help orient and direct young and new birders to the game, including tips on how to use binoculars. Plan to meander for up to 2 hours, possibly longer if interest and birds are there, and meet some local forest dwelling stars like Steller's Jay, Yellow-rumped Warbler and hopefully woodpeckers like White-headed Woodpecker and Williamson's Sapsucker.

RSVP using THIS LINK or simply show up! Reach out to fieldtrips@easternsierrabirds.org if you have any questions.
