California Bird Atlas Big Weekend is a four-day statewide celebration of birds and the California Bird Atlas project that launched this year. During this weekend, birders across the state will help document the bird species that are breeding this spring.

ESBA will host a field trip on Saturday, June 6 in the Lee Vining area—details to be announced shortly.

To contribute to the Atlas, all you need to do is join the project on eBird and add your observations of bird breeding behaviors to your checklists. Read more about how to get started here.
